I wrote my Master's Thesis using MATLAB 4.0 and FrameMaker 3.1.1,
and I also experienced your problem. However, I solved it using
the following technique:
save in ps-format from MATLAB (print [filename] -dps)
convert from ps to epsi using a program called pstoepsi.
This epsi-figure is importable in Frame, and can be
seen on the screen, and the size can be manipulated etc. etc.
I'm afraid I don't know where you can find this pstoepsi
since it was installed on our system by someone
other than me. You can try archie, perhaps.
