scanf() function in matlab ?
#64

Hi! I have the student edition of Matlab, and have a rather simple question!
Is there an equivalent to the C function 'scanf()' in Matlab. I would like
to sequentially read an ASCII file, process it, and ship out using printf().

I don't want to read the whole file into a single vector. (It is too long)

Thanks
N. Ramesh

Sorry, not in the current student version. Matlab 4.0 has "fscanf" and
"sscanf". And a few days ago I thought I saw a post of someone saying
they'd written some MEX files for 3.5 to do this. I don't remember if
Student Matlab does MEX files.
