We're investigating moving our SAS community from our MVS and VM
systems to Unix. The largest obstacle appears to be tape.  We
have many users who read and write large amounts of tape data.
Given that tape is viewed as a necessary evil on Unix systems,
what have other sites done to handle the large files that SAS
users read and create.  The only answer I've been given so far
is to buy enough disk to hold the data.
