Senior Testing Coordinator & IT Projects Manager

This position will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining plans and
individual objectives; leading, directing, and monitoring work of project
team, and monitors adherence to IT standards and procedures. Makes
recommendations on personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions,
etc.), and responsible for maintaining effective communications with team,
users, and management. Receives policy level direction regarding budgetary
planning, constraints, etc.; and provides input to the budget planning
process and may have expense and capital budget responsibility. Working
independently with the project sponsor, lead the effort to formulate a
project's scope and objectives to meet the business need. Responsible for
delivering a functional plan to management, and assures the quality of all
assigned deliverables. Coordinates all phases of the project with clients,
other IT development areas, IT operations, and external vendors. Schedules,
directs, and participates in analysis and design activities; evaluates
alternate approaches. Initiates and conducts formal and informal design
reviews with IS management and business area managers. Performs quality
assurance reviews of formal design documents, such as the project proposal
and external design to ensure business requirements are being met.
Responsible for quality of system test plans and execution. Works with
project sponsor to formalize acceptance test plans and schedules and acts as
primary liaison with client community during acceptance testing and
implementation. For production systems, assures that incidents are resolved
on a timely basis, and assists the maintenance support team to meet
production service levels and schedules. Develop and maintain a good
understanding of all business functions, and responsible for enhancing own
working knowledge of the business area assigned by spending time visiting
and/or working in the functional area. Candidate must possess knowledge of
project management tools; prefer Oracle, and Client Server systems
experience.

This position will coordinate the entire Independent Testing
Organization in Applications Development. Testing activities cover
functional, performance, usability, installation and migration. This
position will be responsible for planning and optimizing the people and
computer resources across multiple projects. This position will be
personally responsible for organizational structure, responsibility
assignment, testing methodology implementation, overall verification
and validation process across the development life cycle, and strategic
planning activities for the development, finance, billing and other
organizations. This is a senior position and plays a critical role in the
creation of applications quality and organizational well being, that
has a direct impact on delivering customer satisfaction and
achieving corporate business objectives.

The candidate should have at least 6-8 years of experience in the
information technology industry with most experience around the
development and delivery of large software systems. The candidate
for this position should have at least 1 years of experience supervision
of other testers. The candidate should also have at least 3-6 years of
test planning and execution experience, ESPECIALLY software testing
methodogy experience.  The candidate should have experience in the
testing of complex, distributed systems, preferably in a UNIX or
Oracle environment.  Any experience with or certifications in
SEI CMM is a plus.

Personnel coordination, supervising people, testing
methodologies/processes/tools, and testing complex distributed
applications skills ARE REQUIRED.

LOCATION:  Dallas, TX  -  Irving

TYPE:  Direct Hire.

SALARY:   $75K - $85K  +
