That's the point! Let's take a VERY simple example:

What value does YOUR system return, when you hit the ENTER-Key ???

Is it an LF (10), or ist an CR (13) ?? ... don't tell me it's "\n" ;-))

Have a look at your include files and than compare it with the same
list of files on another UNIX system ... you'd be surpised!

If you need an example how sources look like, which are run-/compilable
on most UNIXes, take "rz/sz" etc. ...

Again, Mark is absolutly rigth! I've worked on such a "portable" kind
of source for various UNIXes the last year. My only possibility to 
manage that job, was to get help from ppl. on the net and in my area with
lots of different systems ...


I post my sources to the net, to let other folks with more knowledge
about programming, unix etc. have a look at it, and give me hints
how to make it better the next time !!!


Now something PRO Hans ;-)  I'm a MINIX-User (Yep! Sys7 and so), and
I know about problems with installing sources from the net ... so I'm
able to understand your optinion, too!
