By chat script I The best one I know is xchat. It is distributed as part of Taylor uucp. It is basically a state machine. Each state has (from memory) a send string, one or more expect strings and associated states and a timeout. I programmed a script in an hour. I use it to retrieve mail automagically from a VMS account on a system where the system administrator is uncooperative. It is freeware and has no known bugs. Scripts are very easy to debug. -- Tom De Pauw, Finning Ltd, Caterpillar (TM) dealer, Vancouver, BC, Canada tom@finning.wimsey.com
