IMSL is currently seeking beta testers on Sun workstations for
IMSL/IDL Version 2.0 and IMSL/Maple. Beta testing will be
conducted from January 5 - March 7, 1993. Beta testers will
receive a 50% discount on the price of a single license to the
software.

IMSL/IDL is a new (was released March 16, 1992) interactive
software for visual data analysis designed for researchers,
engineers, scientists, and data analysts.

This array-oriented command language is complete with powerful 2D
and 3D graphics, and a robust set of image processing and signal
processing functions. IMSL/IDL has a seamless integration of the
200 mathematical functions of IMSL's C/Math /Library; Version 2.0
will include an integration of IMSL's C/Stat/Library, plus other
significant enhancements.

A basic graphical widget toolkit with sliders, buttons, labels,
pull-down menus, and drawable widgets allows you to build
sophisticated graphical user interfaces for your applications and
programs.

IMSL/Maple is an add-on module to IMSL/IDL. It is based upon
Maple V, a computer algebra system that supports both symbolic
and numeric computations. IMSL/Maple users will be able to launch
a Maple session and communicate directly with IMSL/IDL.

Please contact Abby Lionti (lionti@imsl.com) at IMSL to become a
beta tester.
