Sorry, but I never read news.groups and I didn't see call-for-anything
in the newsgroups I do read about comp.sources.testers. So what is it
for and is it moderated?

Thanks

It is not moderated. I use it regularly to announce new submissions
to comp.sources.reviewed and solicit reviewers. We have not received
any new submission recently, so I have been quiet.
