  Richard A. Lerner, Ph.D. thesis, May 1991.

    Describes the design and semantics of a
    a Generic Concurrent Interface Language (GCIL)
    with many examples applied to transaction-based
    distributed computing.

    A syntax and type checker for GCIL is also available
    by ftp.  It interfaces with the LSL checker.
