Could someone involved in the C++ standardisation effort give an indication of when the C++ Standard is likely to be ratified ? Are we talking 6 months, 1 year, 2- 3 years, longer? Also, once a standard is in place, will compilers be subjected to compliance testing and certification in a similar way to Ada compilers.
