Apart from the <math.h> header already present in C, the following
were added:

. most of the <math.h> functions are extended to also support
float & long arguments (now: <cmath>).
. a complex number type through the header <complex>
(which extends most of the <cmath> functions to complex
	   numbers)
	. an array for ``many-at-a-time'' computing: <valarray>
. a few applciators and reductors for ``STL-like'' containers

Note that little ``linear algebra'' is included: that is left to third
parties... but the given toold provide a reasonable basis to build on...
or will eventually do so :-P

The <valarray> header has potential for this... check out:

for a few documents and implementation attempts.
(Valarray is my pet project these days :)

I believe: partly. The basics will be provided and should be enough for
third-parties to build more powerful classes with excellent efficiency.

I think the main problem remaining is the lack of a mechanism to
specify absence of aliasing.

JH> Please say: yes, yes yes!

Maybe, maybe, maybe!
