Hi, I am new here so please be patient 1. Regarding the X* auto_ptr::reset( X* p = 0 ) member in the draft c++ standard. Shouldn't that do a delete on the old object auto_ptr is holding the pointer for? The standard doesn't requiere such an effect, but without this the operator=(auto_ptr&) will cause a lost pointer. Have I missed something or? 2 . Does there exist any update to the April DRAFT somewhere online? 3. Does the class definitions that are included in the draft exist in source somewhere? Thanks for any help [ comp.std.c++ is moderated. Submission address: std-c++@ncar.ucar.edu. Contact address: std-c++-request@ncar.ucar.edu.
