I'd like to see `#assert':

   #assert sizeof(int)==4

which would be like

   #if sizeof(int)!=4
   #error
   #endif

except that it would work.  That is, #assert would be a compiler directive,
not a preprocessor directive, and so there would be no restrictions on the
kinds of expressions.
