Are strings functions like strcat and strcpy part of the ANSI standard
?
And I read in the FAQ that index and rindex were obsolete and one has
to use strchr and strrchr. But according to the PGP source code,
some machines like Pyramid computers have strchr but not strrchr
although they have index and rindex. Was the C library updated on
these machines ? Are there still machines that don't support strchr
and strrchr ?
And the FAQ says nothing about the others standard functions.
Should we better use strncmp or strcmpn ?
strncpy or strcpyn ?
strcasecmp, stricmp or strcmpi ?
Greetings, Frank.
