[kindof-sort-of close to C++, but really not]

This is C++:

   try
   {
      if(<condition>)
         throw <class1>;
   }
   catch(<class1>)
   {
      <do something about it using class>
   }
   catch(<class2>)
   {
      <do something else about it using class>
   }

It's actually very similar in practice to what the above
poster is proposing. Why reinvent an incompatible, less
flexible version of what's already available? I'd say
leave it alone; ain't within the "spirit of C". Works
great in C++, though, the spirit of which is more
accomodating to programmer convenience.  Slightly.
