Here is the DOS version: It is bad enough to post DOS and Windows problems to comp.lang.c. But the idea of posting completely non-standard code to comp.std.c takes me completely aback. The assembly code is obviously not C, and certainly not standard C. Unless you include lines like #define far #define PASCAL #define CDECL even your "C" code hasn't a chance in a standard C compiler. There are newsgroups for DOS and Windows questions. Check news.announce.newusers (which you should have already done) for info on how to find the right newsgroup. Having found such a newsgroup, retrieve its FAQ from rtfm.mit.edu and read it, since your question may already have been answered there. Also check the back traffic, for the same reason. Only then should you post a question to the victim newsgroup. When you have made a try and have a problem related to C programming, and have checked the FAQ and back traffic, then this newsgroup may well be the right place to ask. -- * Martin Ambuhl net: mambuhl@ripco.com * Chicago, IL (USA)
