I've been out of touch with the current C standards process. Is there currently work being done, what is the schedule? I have located an ftp site that appears to have current working papers but it doesn't mention any time lines. Thanks, Peter

There is indeed work being done on a revision of the current standard. There is an official web page under construction at http://www.dknet.dk/JTC1/SC22/WG14/. Unfortunately, most of the links on that page are dangling at the moment, but one that isn't is ``papers'' which points to a mirror of the official ftp site at ftp://ftp.dmk.com/DMK/sc22wg14. At the FTP site, under c9x/Revision-guidelines, you'll find a number of useful documents. According to the Charter: The milestones for the revision process are: ** CD Registration -- December 1996 ** CD Ballot -- December 1997 ** DIS Ballot -- December 1998 ---- Larry Jones, SDRC, 2000 Eastman Dr., Milford, OH 45150-2789 513-576-2070 larry.jones@sdrc.com You're just trying to get RID of me, aren't you? -- Calvin
