Greetings, (I'm new to this newsgroup; please forgive me if the following has been recently discussed). Does ISO Standard 6093 Format F1 permit one to encode a floating-point number as an integer? For example: 0.0 -> "0" 1023.0 -> "1023" Assume that the program which will read the encoded values knows that they represent floating-point values. Thanks in advance, -- Steve Emmerson steve@unidata.ucar.edu ...!ncar!unidata!steve
