Dear Netlanders in France and Germany,
when I try to use accent marks in a hanging tag (troff, MS-Package, .IP macro)
the output gets garbled, because the accent marks in the text for the hanging
tag are being interpreted in an unpredictable way.
As accents and "Umlaut" marks appear quite frequently in French and German,
may-be somebody there has fixed this bug. I would appreciate any help.
Example:
/*========================================================================*/
.PP
.AM
This is a test.
.IP "Te\*'le\*'phone"
This is a test.
/*========================================================================*/
produces approximately:
/*========================================================================*/
This is a test.
Te' <- correct accent!
>---------^ word cut!
514.This is a test.
>^^^^ where does this coms from?
/*========================================================================*/
