I'm sure I saw somewhere recently that there is an ISO standard for icons available. Could someone please tell me the standard number. Alternatively, is there an on-line list of the ISO standards available anywhere? I realise that I would have to pay for the standard itself, but a list of available standards with brief descriptions of what they cover would be very useful. In article <2440@miranda> you write: >I'm sure I saw somewhere recently that there is an ISO standard for >icons available. Could someone please tell me the standard number. > (I tried mailing to you directly, but without success - I tried both the return address in the header, and the one in your signature) I expect this is the document you are looking for: ISO/IEC CD 11581 Information Technology - Text and Office Systems - Graphical Symbols Used on Screens: Interactive Icons. This document is in the development phase and may have been renamed and/or renumbered last November. Hope this helps you in your search. Brent Nordin nordin@qucis.queensu.ca
