Even genuine cartridges can cause problems if they have been in store for a
while.  All current colour cartridges should have a batch number with a
leading digit of not less than three, this number can be seen (just with
good eye-sight and favourable lighting conditions) embosed on the tank
bottom under the transparent window.  Black ink tanks are ok if numbers
begin with a 1 - nobody should now be using the smaller 9ml black tanks as
they are all way out of date.

Ian and I have agreed to differ (I think) on our opinions re Epson Stylus v
Canon.

As for HPs try a DJ660 on an A5000 -- NOT.
