I have an Acorn 486DX/100 card with 20Mb RAM allocated to it but Canon's 610
Win'95 printer driver which is written for the Windows Printing System
cannot find the printer port. The 600 driver, which is a simple Win'95
printer driver, can! This anomaly has been confirmed by my dealer and other
users. Canon are also aware of the position. Are we talking about the same
thing? If there is a way round this we would be delighted to hear it.

To make it clear the Win'95 610 driver supplied with the printer is a
special one - it even talks to you whilst printing! As far as I am aware all
the basic drivers within Win'95, including that for the 600, *do* work with
a PC card.

Yes, I should have said 360x360dpi. I have the Acorn Printers 1.52
installed.

Higher quality than what? The 720dpi mode on a "real" PC using the Win'95
driver referred to above requires excessive disc space due to it's method of
spooling but the end product is as least as good as the RISC OS driver
provides. In fact I believe the colours are more accurate.
