Yes I know, I already have !PCConfig configured for direct access to the
parallel port and I use dongleless versions for Publisher and ArtWorks.

I wonder whether this is the answer - I will try again when I receive RISC
OS 3.7 with the SA package.

No comment - perhaps this opinion is subjective - it depends on the quality
of the "wide range of tests"
