I have been using a 600e (on an A5000 mostly, no TurboDriver) for the last
18 months or so with no serious problems.

IMHO A large number of failures (including those in Hampshire mentioned
above) are due to users not switching printer off before turning off mains
power - heads are then not parked correctly causing sspillage and/or drying
out.

Infrequent use where the sponge wadding in tanks pulls back out of contact
with head ink inlet and also possible crystalization of ink solids -
refilling tanks and using third party cartridges may not help here and will
certainly invalidate warranty if Canon discover - and they can analyse inks
in returned print heads.

Running printer with one or more ink tanks dry - like a kettle the heating
elements (48, or is it 64, per colour) then burn out.

If users RTFM and use a little common sense most problems can be avoided,
but do watch out for that wadding shrinking back from tank outlets, if a
tank has plenty of ink and a nozzle check pattern (four bar fencing) is not
good then either the wadding has shrunk or the heaters have vapourised.
