I've never had a crash with FTP, although I understand the timeout is
somewhat sensitive at times - maybe a simple configurable option for
this might be a good idea?

I've seen silly bugs when using news, occasionally when replying to a
message the incorrect subject is filled in (usually for a completely
different message - sometimes even in a different NG). I suspect
though this might be due to the news download - which at the moment
is completely unuseable, hopefully ANT are giving this TOP priority
as a *lot* of users seem t be suffering (including me!).

This might depend on the type of mail fetch used. Demon works in a
completely different way to say Pipex, where you'd be better to use
aliases rather than separate fetchers. Having said this, I've had no
problems (touch wood) in this area.

I wouldn't rush out and recommend it AT THE MOMENT. If someone was
looking for some Internet software I'd recommend they boot up their
PC card with something free for a while, and give ANT a couple of
months to sort out the problems with release 2, and then I'd
recommend that. It's certaily well ahead of the competition,
especialy Fresco.

To be honest, I guess they're just teething problems which they WILL
sort out.

Yes, support have come back to me very quickly, although they haven't
actually sorted anything out yet ... though I'm sure they will.
