By the time you read this, the last BETA test version of FreeNews (0.98)
will be available from ftp at

ftp://cslib.ecs.soton.ac.uk/pub/Acorn/freenet/j.smith/freenews098.spk

or as an upgrade from alpha-test version 0.88 at

ftp://cslib.ecs.soton.ac.uk/pub/Acorn/freenet/j.smith/freenews088to098.spk.

The major change to FreeNews with this release is that it is now *blindingly*
quick compared to previously.

I will leave this version alone for 2 weeks before making any changes, then
I'll release the full Release 1.00 version.

[following that, releases will be made supporting header-only downloads and
 killfiles, culminating in a release 2.00.   WATCH THIS SPACE!]
