Putting anything only on the pinboard is one of the ultimate evils.
Anyone who has anything resembling enough desktop space to be able to
easily get to, let alone see, the backdrop clearly isn't using their
computer properly. The only excuse is if you've a 'hide all windows'
button, or the like.
The Cumana SCSI model is close to being right. The one annoyance I have
with it is the way you have to get to things like 'verify' and 'free'
when you start stacking drive-icons. I'd far prefer it if the standard
list of options was -always- there, but acted on the currently selected
drive. Having the existing list of drives with a sub-menu would be good
as well.
(This avoids the other, related, irritation I have, in that if you've

 only one icon stacked, you have to follow this sub-menu to get at
 things like dismount)
