Well, not exactly a special part of the pinboard. The problem with the icon-bar is that it can get very long very quickly. It all depends on how many directory references you require. > Sure, there are ways the icon bar could be improved - for example it > could be made double-row, moveable, have vertical/horizontal options, and > the ability to have different, customable, icon bars (perhaps accessed > from the task switcher) to suit different project needs would be nice. But in the end, it is always up to the individual and the particular needs, and it is to Acorn's credit that a wide variety of environment styles can be utilised. In reply to Arinacylch, it's not that things are hidden on the hard disk, so much. But rather that apart from Apps, there are many possibilities that can be cross project and so would not appear in every project directory, e.g; PC, CLibs, Comms, Documents, Archives, ClipArt, Sound Libs etc. And if all one wanted to hand was on the icon-bar, things would get crowded. And I like to avoid the extra clicks and scrolling involved in opening the Hard disk directory. In the end, you should have thought before using the 'not using computer properly' angle.
