This is only from my personal experience, but IMHO

!!DON'T DO IT!!

I hope I've got your attention...

I have tried on RPC 600s and 700s to use the SyQuest
utilities supplied with the IDE drives, and 
admittedly, this was fron Windoze, not DOS but there 
were two problems. 

1. The utilities didn't work.

2. I was left with a group in Windoze that I couldn't
   remove.

I eventually gave up.
                     
If you fare better let us know, but the exercise is
very frustrating. Nice icons in Windoze tho'.
