At 89 UKP direct from SyQuest, it seemed a very attractive offer and so I too
bought an EZ135 SCSI. Immediately after buying one, I learnt from a contact
in the USA that they were no longer being manufactured! Ugh! However, its
performance seems pretty good and I understand that there should not be a
problem getting hold of new cartridges.

One point that should be mentioned is that the removable cartridge drive
should be capable of being used in the same way as a 1.6MB floppy ie. as a
genuine DOS format to allow data exchange across different platforms. My
requirement was that a cartridge initalised to 130MB on a PC could be
accessed OK directly by Risc OS. This, of course, is dependent on the
type of interface used. I use my EZ135 with an Alsystems Power-tec SCSI 2
card and it performs the cross platform task very well.

I would be interested to learn what other Acorn compatible interfaces also
permit this cross platform activity.
