I bought a Master Compact and a BBC B at boot fairs.

The Compact has a 3.5 drive, the BBC B a 5.25. I have mostly software
on cassette (I'll need to find a suitable tape recorder) but wanted to
get stuff on 3.5 disk fro the Master. Can anyone help?

I'd buy or whatever if needs be but if someone could help, I have
Monsters, Revs (disk), Elite (cassette), Exile (disk), and some other
stuff.

To be honest I'm looking mainly for the older Acornsoft titles like
Snapper, Defender, Rocket Raid and so on.

PLEASE help. I want to enjoy this classic computer.

Actually you only need one with two connections, you can even get away
with just a headphone/single socket if you don't intend on saving
programs to tape.

The three connections normally are,

In
Out
Rem

'Rem' is used to automatically push 'pause' on the tape recorder - ie,
it will stop the tape from recording when the file has finished. This
one really isn't needed.

The hard bit, if you don't already have it, will be finding a cable
which will connect the tape recorder to the beeb - if I remember
correctly it is a 5-pin DIN type?

Russ.

Yup, and Maplin still do these leads.

Cat No FG21X "DIN 5 Lead", about 2 quid.
