Stupidly, when writing a News Art in comp.sys.acorn.hardware under Wanted, I
pressed the f3 Save key !! And of course my Art disappeared ready for
posting - that is the situation if you use Argonet Voyager :-(

But, in many respects Voyager is an excellent package.

Anyway, in that Article, you will see that I am seeking a 2nd. hand computer
for daughter.

We think that an A4 Portable is what we are after, because

    1. She needs a Portable more than anything else right now.
    2. I know more about Acorns than those others !! and will be able to
give more support. I have an A5000. And, of course, that friendly Acorn
community out there !! . . . . . :-))

But, any model of computer has its own strengths and weaknesses. In that
other News article I put what probably are our basic needs.

But there are all sorts of things I do not know about such as

   * level of hardware support still available
       e.g. replacement battery packs
   * max. hard disc memory and RAM
   * partitioning for PC software use
       etc. etc.

    I would be happy to receive any detailed info. by email.
