I am the not-that-proud-anymore owner of an old Acorn Archimedes A440/1.
This came with a 50 MB HD, which sounded very cool at the time but is
now very full.  This is seriously cramping my programming style...

I'm therefore thinking of getting hold of another HD for it.  I am very
mean, however, and really don't want to pay very much for this.  I see
three options, in probable order of cost:

- find some sort of extra ST506 HD, which I understand the controller in
the A440/1 can handle.  I don't have any podules, and so presumably this
could be fitted in that area, given suitable mounting.

- find some sort of `HD on a card' thingy, which I seem to remember
being available in the good old days.

- find some sort of cheap IDE/SCSI interface card, and a drive to go
with it (again, to be mounted in the podule area).

I don't care very much about access speed, and any size would be better
than 0 MB.

Would anybody be able to help out, say because they've got something
suitable in their now unused A305, or to tell me they saw something
suitable from dealer X?

I suggest answers by e-mail; if I get inundated with suggestions I'll
post a summary (to comp.sys.acorn.misc) for the benefit of any other
people in my position.
