I just returned from my local Best Buy, where the CTX PL9 19" sat directly beside a 19" Sony. (I was so unimpressed by the Sony I failed to note the model #.) CTX looked great - very impressive. The staff repeatedly tried to tweak the Sony so that it looked as good as the CTX, but to no avail; the Sony simply looked dingy - as though it needed to be cleaned - and with those two obvious black lines! The brightness level was as high as it would go. The price of the Sony was considerably higher than the CTX, which was $549.99. What am I missing here?
