The Trinitron FR (IIRC) is a newer version... it offers the flattest CRT
display in the world. It can be found on the Sony GDM-F500. It also has an
awesome useable resolution due to it's minute .22mm aperture grille, which is
constant across the entire screen. Compare this to the Mitsubishi and Iiyama
which have a 0.28mm aperture grill (each 21" tubes).

That's unlikely. I've yet to come across a manufacturer that offers both
Trinitron and Diamondtron tubes. Either or, it would appear. In this case,
the Diamondtron may have been of a higher spec than the Trinitron (the
electronics, the aperture grille size etc...) and from a different
manufacturer but you won't beat a top end Sony.

Yeah. But you can get some pretty huge FST mons. Have a peek at Mitsubishi's
Pro37. Yes, you guessed it, the thing is a 37" FST !!!

Ditto. The Sony will quite happily run at 1800x1440, though.

Yeah, that is a bit of a pity! But the mon will go up to 76Hz at 1600x1200....

What you need is a better graphics card!!
