Audio extraction

I'm currently extracting files from CD for a web site. I need them as WAVs
in order to turn them into RealAudio files. I've been using !SampleCD to
extract them as 16 bit stereo Replay files and then !SampleCon to turn them
into WAVs.

Is there a more direct route of doing this i.e. CD to WAV?

I'd most appreciate any advice

CDBlaze ( http://www.findme.co.uk/cdblaze/ ) will let you extract audio
(or even play it direct from the CD) in WAV, Replay, or Raw formats.

AudioFS 2 (Honathan Hunt) is good at this.

Mmmmmm...

Well... there are a few ways I suppose.. but spending about 15 ukp with
Uniqueway for CDSampler is probably the easiest and cheapest.

CDBlaze (Cumana) and CDBurn (WSS) CD burning software both allow the
extraction of samples as .WAV files but of course come a little more
expensive ;-)) ProSound from Oregan also samples from CD...

I've got ProSound but have never managed to get stereo audio data off a CD
with it; it always creates one mono channel. Anyone know what I'm doing
wrong?

You are creating at least a two track piece to start with, I presume? Then
make sure you've selected two tracks to record on to.

I hope you own the copyright to these CDs or have remembered to get
permission.

Sorry to sound stuffy, but people are earning their livings from
them.

Here, here, as a composer normally the last in line to receive such due to
him, I most heartily agree. The recent discussions that the recording
industry and various governments are having at this moment, about the loss
of revenue for recordings or part thereof on the internet is serious.

If someone wanted to use a part of some music that I'd written, I would not
normally charge for it, but it is nice to be asked first.

Bob.

Yes, the website is for the band.
