Yes I *receive* two copies, but I only *see* one.

You're clearly receiving a copy *in each newsgroup*, with intact header
lines - thus for each newsgroup listed, Newsbase creates a copy of the
article.

Open Newsbase's control panel window (adjust-click on its icon) then click on
the 'Mail & news storage' icon. Enable both 'Master ID index' and 'Kill
duplicates', click on 'Rebuild' (confirm that you want to do this), then on
'Save'.

It won't help with marking the crossposted article as read in all groups when
you read it in one, though - you need Messenger for that. ;-)

(Those who find no 'Master ID index' option should upgrade.)
