Please, nobody email me about it - it's ***not*** a deficiency in Newsbase!
In fact, I think this point is even covered in the "frequently-asked questions"
section of the online docs.

TTFN doesn't use the Xref: header line to mark crossposts as read. I believe that
Messenger, when it's finished, will do so.
