When Ed Fultz wrote trying to calm Alan K. Baker down who was outraged
over some pyramid scheme posted to a newsgroup, he said:

When I started receiving a series of unsolicited sermons from the
Seventh Day Adventist Church, however, I wrote to the other recipients
and asked if any of them knew how I could get off the subscription
list.  I guess one of the recipients is our own Alan K. Baker.   I got
the following letter from Alan who had attempted (unsuccessfully) to
send it through an anonymous emailer.  Mr Baker has obviously changed
his tune somewhat with regard to the beneficial nature of spam.

Alan seems to be quite the fruitcake.  Maybe we should all ditch our
computers and try to get out a little more!  Is this catching?  Is this
a 'call for help'?  A quick scan of other posts sent by Alan to groups
such as alt.support.depression show a similar abusive tendency.  If
someone actually knows this lad personally they might consider taking
him out for a drink and talking some sense into him.
