Mmmm, are you sure that it is the modem and not a problem with the
blockdrivers, Drawfile module or simply configuration?

Did it ever work before? With a 28.8\33.6 perhaps.

I doubt it. The Dynalink is /only/ Class 1.

The 1996 ArgoFax StrongHlp file states clearly that it will /not/ 
work with class 1 modems (nor with USR 14.4 modems).

ArgoFax was written for Class 2 fax-modems, like the USR 28.8\33.6 
Class 2.0 or Rockwell Class 2 chipsets. 

My USR Sportster Vi User guide states that the modem will exchange 
faxes with Group III fax machines.
