Sorry if this has been asked before, and I actually know it has, but how do you tell an old RO3 machine to boot from the hard disk after a power-on reset? I can't remember how, and the "new" old A440 hasn't got any RO3 guides with it... Bl**dy thing looks ugly with low res icons... -- ------------------------------------------- Andy Marks - andy.m@argonet.co.uk Creswell, Derbyshire Home of the World-Famous(?) Bl**dy thing looks ugly with low res icons... IIRC if you go into the menu in Taskmanager > Desktop Boot and click on autoboot it might do the trick. If this doesn't work type in at the command line opt 4,1 HTH Jamie -- Name : James Stevens. | Using An Acorn RISC PC. Bl**dy thing looks ugly with low res icons... Hmmm... From memory... Press F12 *CONFIGURE FileSystem ADFS *CONFIGURE Drive 4 *CONFIGURE Boot If it still isn't booting, try *ADFS *DRIVE 4 *OPT 4,1 Of course, if your hard disc is not an ADFS one, you'll have to change the configure options above suitably :-) Andrew. -- CFSFC http://www.geocities.com/~cfsfcpage Andrew Hunter - ahunter@digicron.com ...
