AFAIK, Internet 4 and 5 are just Internet stacks, version 5 being newer. 4
may be a DCI2 stack, and 5 and DCI4 stack. Oh hell, more jargon ;-)

Yes.

POP is a program that will download mail-on-demand from your ISP, and indeed
anywhere else on the planet, so long as you have access. (Scrictly speaking,
POP is a protocol, but never mind). Newshound is something that fetches news.
Messenger is something that you read email and news on. Zap is a text editor,
far superior to Edit, StrongEd, etc >8->> that you use to write email and
news. Newsbase is the program that takes care of all the mail and news. It
stores it, gives it to messenger for display etc.

IMO, this is some of the most powerful news and mail software for any
computer. If it wasn't for Zap, Messenger and Newsbase, I would have foregon
my Acorn for internetting purposes. ATM, it swings the scales, plus Browse is
a little more "safe" for browsing, because if someone has a malicious web
page to kill a PC, you're OK, because you're not using a PC :-)

Yep.
