Since I would like curses I suppose I
ought to lend a hand. I really have only
been using unixlib for a couple of weeks.
(I was the guy who thought it had curses 
already) but I have been using unix
machines for longer than my arc.

sgtty.h?

I have it here on my unix box. 
It contains one ifdef!

#ifndef _IOCTL_ 
#include <sys/ioctl.h>
#endif

I can't check unixlib on my arc because 
its at home...
