I have briefly had a play with Eureka and I found it to be excellent! It seems to support all of the functions that Pipedream has plus a great deal more. (I have not used Pipedream extensively so I don't guarantee that I'm 100% correct). The user interface seems very good indeed, although there is a slight gripe in that they have used their own windowing system so nice things like 3d icons won't work. The reason they have done this is to implement a 'split window' effect allowing 4 seperate parts of the spreadsheet to be viewed in the same window. I found it easier to use than Pipedream from a first time user's point of view. The graphing facilities do seem more limited than those in Pipedream 4. Anyway, my first impressions were very positive. >Also, could an A5000 owner tell me how the ARM3 is connected (Surface >mount/PGA/?). If it is Surface mount, does anyone know if you can get surface >mount PGA sockets? More importantly does anyone know a dealer willing to fit >such a socket to an A5000. Would it invalidate the warranty? I beleive that the ARM3 in the A5000 is surface mounted. You can surface mount a socket in place of the chip. Try Beebug Ltd. in St. Albans, they should be able to fit a socket for you. I don't know about the warranty though. >Jim Noble Matt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matthew Segall li93002@ox.ac.uk All opinions are my own etc....... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
