DESCRIPTION

This software provides a useful and usable front-end for the LhA/LZX
archiving software. Since both are CLI-based, the beginner is often
intimidated by their user interfaces and commands. By providing a
useful, yet simple, graphical user interface (GUI) to the LhA/LZX
software, LhA-GUI makes the use of LhA/LZX much easier.

Some of the key features of LhA-GUI are:
	- Amiga User Interface Style-Guide compliant.
	- Font and screen sensitive.
	- Directory tree listings of an archive's contents.
	- Drag and drop support (AppWindows and AppIcons).
	- Iconification support.
	- Viewing support (including MultiView under OS-3.x).
	- Preferences settings for LhA/LZX options, default directory, etc.
	- AmigaGuide-based help (OS 3.x only, for now).
	- Under 55K in size.
	- No Enforcer hits.

CHANGES

	- Enhanced AmigaGuide documentation.
	- LZX support is new.
	- Delete gadget is now supported, allowing selective deletion of
	  archive contents.
	- AutoExtract ability added. Just drop an archive onto the
appropriate AppIcon, and it is extracted to your default
	  extraction directory.
	- Online AmigaGuide-based help for Menu-items.
	- Various bug-fixes.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

AmigaOS 2.1 or higher, PIPE: device mounted, LhA/LZX executable
	in your path.

AVAILABILITY

Any Aminet site, in pub/aminet/util/arc directory.
        <ftp://ftp.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/util/arc/LhA-GUI.lha>

PRICE

Shareware fee of $5 Canadian or US after 30-days of use.

DISTRIBUTION

LhA-GUI is shareware. Freely distributable via CD, disk, FTP,
or any other form. No profit may be made with the distribution
of this software, and I must be contacted first before it is
included on any cover-disk, or before being used as a front-end
	for archives on any media-type.
