Hello everybody, I own a A4000 with CDROM and can get lot's of good quality samples for the Akai S1000/1100 series on CDROM or optical disc. As for now, I can't really do anything fancy with it... except mounting the device and read the raw sectors. Because 90% of these discs contain the actual sample data, it is /possible/ to read (and convert) the sounds, but I can't see the disk-structure and/or sample names. Does anyone know anthing about the CDROM format (or in general the diskformat) that is used by Akai? Thanks in advance... __ _/__\ Pieter Ennes Amsterdam /-___\\_.oO pedro@twilight.xs4all.nl \/ \/ .-------------------------------------------------------------------------. | -=> The TWiLiGHT Zone BBS <=- -=> +31-(0)-20-6764584 <=- -=> 24 Hrs <=- | | -=> Modules Heaven! <=- -=> 9600 to 28800 Baud <=- -=> /\MIG/\ Only <=- | `-------------------------------------------------------------------------' -- Via Xenolink 1.981, XenolinkUUCP 1.1
