Hi All, Can anyone give me some feedback on setting up a CD mastering system around the Amiga? Something like Master Tape ---> Soundboard ----> CD burner? Is that about right? Or are there any CD Burners or CD-R Software packages which do A/D automatically? If I have a CD-Burner on a Mac, is there some way to do A/D and post-processing on the Amiga and then just arrange the songs (WAV files?) so that the Mac can create an Audio CD out of them? Is anyone doing pro-audio mastering on the Amiga? Thanks for the input.... Alexis

The problem is that nobody has made a sound sampler with digital inputs so you're not going to get a 100% digital copy. I'd love to be proved wrong... Alex

I'm not sure how capable the SunRize board is at DSP and post work, but it's the premier hard-disk recording board. As for pro-audio mastering, the only ones I've heard about is David Pleasance when he recorded "Everone's Girlfriend," and from what I understand, they used a custom setup. Let's hope someone decides to develop more pro-audio apps for us! BTW, what kind of Amiga are you planning on using? The SunRize card only goes in big-box systems.

That's fine if your source is CD (which probably means you're pirating the music) but not so useful if the stuff is on DAT. Does the SunRize board have digital ins ? Alex
