: Judging from responses and from my Users Group, most people who have expanded
: a CD32 have done so with an SX-1. The SX-1 has a pass-thru for the expansion slot
: so the bay that was designed to house the FMV could be used for such an accelerator
: addon along with the SX-1 so you get a CD32 with accelerator and RGB/parralel/serial/floppy
: IDE and RAM expansion. Let's face it who still wants the FMV????? The price is ridiculous and
: development and manufacturing for this addon have died horrible on the Amiga.
: Best shot if you want to make some money would be designing an accelerator to use with
: a CD32-SX-1 combo or with the CD32 alone. Would be best route as the design would be exactly
: the same for both users with just a CD32 and users with a CD32-SX1 combo as the accelerator
: would use the expansion slot which the SX-1 gives a pass thru.
: Currently we have 75 users in my group "Dark-SIDE-Amiga" with CD32/SX-1 setups.

Just to add my AUD$0.02 worth, I, and I'm sure many other people with
CD32's would love to get there hands on such a device. Just out of
intrest, how many SX-1 add-ons have been bought? I'm sure at least maybe
half (guestimate?!) would just leap for joy at being able to accelerate
their CD32's/SX-1 setup. I myself went the CD32/SX-1 way to build me up
a cheap aga machine, with _inbuilt_ CD-ROM drive, and could do it a piece
at a time! I'm sure you could get at least 500, nay, 1000 CD32er's to
buy said accelerator. Count me in! (In fact, might just stave off me
building my next project, PeeCee { Uughh ;-(, shudder etc...}).
