I have made an CDDA player for the Amiga called Interplay. It works perfect with the Archos Overdrive, CD32 and scsi-drives using the squirrel interface. I would also like the player to work with any scsi drive connected to the SCSI port. Interplay uses the cd.device, and I noticed that the CDFileSystem contains the word cd.device. But when mounting CD0: as standard from Commodore in WB3.1, the cd.device is not created in RAM. I can't find it on the disks or in the ROM. Does anyone know anything about this? Is so, please conntact me as I need someone to test Interplay with scsi cd roms. -- Stian Olsen, Sysop SilverHawk BBS (+47 64934100 or +47 64934180) Email: stianol@ifi.uio.no Homepage: http://www.ifi.uio.no/~stianol

But I heard that cd.device would work under WB 3.1, but I haven't someone to confirm this! Some says it works woth their SCSI drives, but they are not sure which filesystem they use, etc. Do you know exactly where the cd.device is used? I know that Archos Overdrive and CD32 uses it. SCSI CD-ROMs connected to the Squirrel interface also works! Stian Olsen, Sysop SilverHawk BBS (64934100 (28.8) or 64934180 (14.4) ) Email: stianol@ifi.uio.no

Hello, : But I heard that cd.device would work under WB 3.1, but I haven't someone to : confirm this! Some says it works woth their SCSI drives, but they are not sure : which filesystem they use, etc. : Do you know exactly where the cd.device is used? I know that Archos Overdrive : and CD32 uses it. SCSI CD-ROMs connected to the Squirrel interface also : works! I sent you email on this but I can confirm that on my 3.1 3000 cd.device works. The only time I use cd.device is when I am playing a CD32 game off of my HD. The cd.device is from the ASIMware 3 disk, there are also some other drivers as well, including cdtv.device. __________________________________________________________________ | | | Bye...Happy Happy Joy Joy from Vancouver Island, Parksville, BC, | | Canada, Paul Olivero. < get it > apaulo@qb.island.net =8^) | | | | You have not converted a man because you have silenced him. | |__________________________________________________________________|

It is a really good cd audio player (92% in Amiga Shopper). You can find it on aminet as disk/cdrom/Interplay41.lha Stian Olsen, Sysop SilverHawk BBS (64934100 (28.8) or 64934180 (14.4) ) Email: stianol@ifi.uio.no

If I end up using it I will have to get creative as I play Worms from my HD instead of my CD32 and if cd.device is present worms thinks it is being run from a CD32.
