CD32 acellerator?

Has anyone heard of or know of a way to make an adapter
to use A1200 accellerators on the CD32's expansion slot.
Surely there must be a way to either use or make an accellerator
for the CD32's expansion slot. Would be great to have an A1200
with CD-ROM ala a CD32/SX1 setup as I have.

>Surely there must be a way to either use or make an accellerator >for the CD32's expansion slot It's surely _possible_, but, at present, there is no way to accelerate performance on a CD32 except through the use of fast RAM (which can speed things up by a factor of about 2.5). Some third parties have explored 030/040 add-ons or replacement accelerators, but I'm not certain where these efforts stand, given Escom's at best ambivalent attitude toward the machine and the considerable slowdown in the CD32 software market.

I've heard of a CD32 tower with expansion slots project by a german
company, if I find back the address, I will send it over...
On the pics I've seen it looks nice and fits under the CD32 turning it
into a medium sized tower...
With this you can use most A1200 cards among which Accelerator Cards
L8r!

What expansion system are you using, and where did you get it, I'm in
the US and can only get the SX-1. I'd really like something with an
accelerator option. Also what problem are there if any with these
expansion boxes. I had to put a cooling fan in my CD32 cause it kept
overheating, refusing to play CD audio.
External boxes suck. The SX32 Pro will have a little bubble on top of

Until, ATech enhance the CD32 or release the Amiga walker with CDROM
capability, I guess SX32's and the like are our only options :(

I'm using it right now while the 2000 is getting a CIA replaced (damn Parnet!). My CD32 is running a 200Mb 2.5" HD and a double sided 8Mb SIMM with a standard CD32 power supply, with no troubles. Really, though, 040s and 060s are a bit of a waste as AGA holds them back so much, and nobody codes anything that needs the power. I mean, AB3D II will be fine with a 50Mhz 030, so why go the extra expense? For the money you'd pay for an 060 accelerator, you could buy a whole Pentium system to do your number crunching on, leaving the Amiga for fun. Hi,
I recently spoke with the folks at BCI(Better Concepts Inc in New
York), who said they'll soon be checking out a SX32 unit from the
manufacturer, If BCI likes it then they'll sell them here in the U.S.
Is there any us dealer out there that sells them???
Thanks,
MJesus

How about a 3D engine, a Geometry engine, a Texture engine, JPEG decoder, &
maybe a DSP. Maybey then we can get some really serious games done.
